INNOVATIONS IN STREETS, FEET, AND AV FLEETS
The Future of Streets with Autonomous Vehicles and Pedestrians

Pedestrians on the streets are forced to walkk in unsafe conditions and autonomous vehicles, while providing some public safety benefits, will not prevent most accidents. Streets in the future will need to be designed in a way that prioritizes pedetrian safety and the characterisitics of the autonomous vehicles. The future of the streets could be much more open, flexible, and made to accommodate multiple users with SAVERs. Autonomous vehicles should be designed so that safety is enhanced for all road users.
